Amazing paintings by Brian M. Viveros
Perhaps one of the major challenges of an artist is to create an unique and unmistakable style to his art. Certainly the painter Brian M. Viveros was able to win this challenge with his high detailed and amazing paintings of warriors, barbarian and bloodied women, but still showing an emblematic sensuality and feminine beauty.
His hyperreal portraits show us a sense of glory, women who have just come out of a battle, injured but winners. Full of tattoos and smoking their cigarettes, these women are winners soldiers portrayed in a sublime way by the artist. Viveros elevates the iconography of the femme fatale as a powerful symbol of strength and beauty.
Viveros’ work gained a big repercussion in a major exhibition in Switzerland in 1997, called The Art of Porn in which he exhibited his work alongside celebrated artist H. R. Giger. Since then, the Viveros work has been widely exhibited in North America and Europe.
His oil paintings, ink, acrylic or using airbrush are highly saturated with pigment, brightness and depth. It emphasizes some focal points such as the eyes, lips and skin, conveying an expression of subtlety on his portraits.
