The Secret Life of Superheroes
Have you ever wondered how acts your favorite superhero in his/her private live? How Spider-Man does to splash? And Superman, how he cleans his nose? Batman smoking a cigarette? The French illustrator Grégoire Guillemin decided to expose heroes, villains and cartoon characters in intimate, funny and embarrassing situations in a series called “The Secret Life of Superheroes“.
In his illustrations, Greg uses a technique called Ben-Day dots, graphic process similar to Pointillism, named in honor to illustrator and graphic Benjamin Day. The process is based on the use of points with long and short gaps or even overlapping, to give shape and color to the illustrations.
The result are colorful and funny illustrations, typical of other known art style, the Pop Art.
